Please note that the activities listed below are just suggestions. They are at your own risk. Check your insurance (for mountain rescue) in case. The weather in Aussois end of september is about 15 deg so it is not exceptional to have temperature like 5-8  deg on the surrounding mountains so you need warm clothes, rain covers, and good hiking shoes. Snow is possible. Do not go alone in the moutains and inform someone (reception for example). Please also do not overestimate your hiking abilities, one afternoon is short : Starting hiking at 1pm is late (night is at ~7pm). 

 

   (Distance 4km, Starting altitude 1460m (from Aussois), Height difference = 260 m, 2h)

(you need a car to go to the hydroelectric dam = start of the hike, possible from Aussois but count +600 m more for the ascent)

Pointe de l'Observatoire (3015m). Only for experienced climbers (~1000m, start from the Hydroelectric Dam = 2050m, Plan d'Amont, 5-6h, Need a car to go there)
