Instructions before the Hands-on sessions. 

Please try to install this before the start of the school

Gaussian processes 

You need to install : python, jupyter, numpy, scipy. The best way to do it is to use the Anaconda distribution https://www.anaconda.com/  (click "Download"). Works for Mac, Linux, Windows. 

Then you will need the distribution "George" for Gaussian Process available here : https://george.readthedocs.io/en/latest/

Suzanne Aigrain proposes to bring your own dataset if you want to analyse them during the school. 

SOAP 2.0

There are 2 options with SOAP : either you download it (see below), or you can use the online version (if you cannot install it) http://www.astro.up.pt/resources/soap2/

 The code has been tested on python 2.6 and 2.7. The following standard python libraries are required:
- numpy 1.6.2 or higher
- scipy 0.11.0 or higher
- matplotlib 1.1.1 or higher
- pyfits 3.3 or higher

The following C libraries are required:
- gsl
